Rockstar Launcher leaks Grand Theft Auto 6 & Red Dead Redemption PC release dates

Grand Theft Auto 6 will be coming to PC even though it has only been announced on consoles. We've also seen recent signs that the 14 year-old Old West adventure Red Dead Redemption may finally be heading our way. BattlEye, the anti-cheat software that has been added to GTA Online, is a sign of this.

Rockstar Launcher was updated to include the latest secret items after the integration of BattlEye into GTA Online. Rockstar Games reporter Tez2 noted that the update had "accidentally" included the metadata for the RDR1 PC.

Red Dead wasn't the only thing to be removed from the launcher update. RockstarIntel noted that the update included a folder named "Americas." Project Americas was or is an internal codename of GTA 6 first reported in 2018. The PC version of GTA 6 was expected, but its presence in the folder could indicate that it will be released sooner rather than later.

Red Dead Redemption folder appeared immediately after the update. This is further evidence that a PC port is on the way. Tez2 discovered code in the Rockstar Launcher in May that suggested a PC port was in the works. Then, in August, Sony announced it sort of on the PlayStation Store, before quickly reversing the decision and pretending it never happened.

Rockstar Launcher leaks have a history of being accurate: A September 2021 update revealed that a remastered Grand Theft Auto trilogy was on the way, and just a few days later, em>bam/em> there it was. Rockstar Launcher leaks are usually accurate: In September 2021, an update revealed that the Grand Theft Auto series would be remastered. A few days later, bam there it was.

I've reached Rockstar for a comment and will update this post if someone decides that they want to leak my response.
