RTX 40 series gaming PCs are becoming so cheap that they may be able to justify the term 'budget.'

It's soon to be the season of unbridled capitalism, and the snatching up of copious holiday tech bargains, including those for budget-friendly gaming PCs. There are already some spectacular deals, including these two, that vendors and manufacturers seem to be preparing for Black Friday.

RTX 40 series gaming PCs seem to be particularly generous and happy with their pricing. I don't care what the reason is, it gives us some great options in the sub $1000 bracket.

If you are looking for a good all-rounder, you can save $300 by purchasing the Thermaltake LCGSView i460TV2 with RTX4060 Ti at Best Buy for $1,000 (saving $300). Or if you prefer something cheap, you can purchase the AVGPCMax with RTX4060 at Newegg for $665 (saving $185.21).

AVGPC and Thermaltake Gaming PCs at Budget Prices

$849.99 Newegg: $664.78 (save $185.21). This build's 5600X/4060 combo is a great entry-level option, but it is more than adequate for 1080p/1440p gaming. And, you can get this for less than $700. The 1 TB SSD will be great for beginners, but you may want to upgrade later to 32 GB of RAM. It's DDR4 memory, so it shouldn't cost too much." data-widget-type="deal" data-render-type="editorial">

This build's 5600X/4060 combo is a great entry-level option, but it is more than adequate for 1080p or even 1440p gaming. And, you can get this for less than $700. The 1 TB SSD will be great for beginners, but you may want to upgrade later to 32 GB of RAM. It's DDR4 memory, so it shouldn't cost too much.

This AVGPC build may be the cheapest RTX 4060 I've seen in a long time. It's almost the same price as some ultra-budget builder without a discrete graphics card. This is great, as the RTX 4060 can handle mainstream gaming at 1080p or 1440p at present. However, it cannot handle high refresh rates in AAA games.

You're going to have to make some sacrifices with a build this cheap. For example, the CPU is two generations old and the 16GB of DDR memory from the previous generation. You can add another 16 GB of RAM for a cheap price and you'll be good to go.

It's a win-win situation: You get a great cheap build to get you started, and when you decide to upgrade, the improvement will be worth it. It's a win-win situation: You can get started with a cheap build, and you know that when you upgrade, the improvements will be worth it.

$1,299.99 Best Buy: $999.99 (Save $300)
This Thermaltake build, I believe, is the best all-rounder that I've seen under $1,000. This is mainly because it has the Intel Core i7 14070F with 20 cores (8x P-Core). This is a huge step up from other RTX 40060 Ti builds that are a little less expensive, such as those with a Core i5 14400F or 13400F. This won't be of much use for gaming but it will be for other tasks such as productivity. It's all in a white Thermaltake case with the company's cooling, power supply and so on." data-widget-type="deal" data-render-type="editorial">

This Thermaltake build, I believe, is the best all-rounder that I've seen under $1,000. This is primarily due to the Intel Core i7 14070F's 20-core (8xP-Core). If you don't want to spend as little as possible, a build such as this Thermaltake one might be a good choice. For $300 or so more than the AVGPC build, you get a great all-round build capable of handling modern AAA games in 1440p on many occasions, even at maximum settings.

This rig has a few extra benefits, including its Core i7-14700F and 32 GB DDR5 RAM. The "F" indicates that it does not have an integrated GPU. However, you get a 4060Ti and 20 14th Generation cores. You should always ensure that you have the most recent microcode patch installed to avoid any instability issues.

In practice, the Thermaltake is not only better at productivity and multitasking than the AVGPC Gaming PC but also better than other gaming PCs which cost much more. You're looking at PCs that have Core i5 processors between $1,000 and $1,500. These are great processors but not quite up to i7 standards.

The build is also very nice, with a lot of Thermaltake proprietary parts and a clean white with RGB finish. This Thermaltake LCGSView i460TV2 is the perfect way to settle in with PC gaming if the AVGPC max above is your first step.
