Someone made a 3-minute music video based on the bad reviews of Borderlands.

The Borderlands film was bad. The Borderlands movie was bad. So bad that I'm currently preparing criminal charges against my editors who forced me to review it for PC Gamer. I'm not discouraged: despite my own screening being packed, which made me fear that the movie was an undeserved hit, it is currently bombing and has already started to move to streaming.

It's because I'm not the only one who hates the movie. The film is hated by everyone, and it took a long time for Rotten Tomatoes to get to its current rating of 10%. People, the reviews are all negative. Negative and many. Sad Alex, a musician with a creative streak, has created a 3-minute song from just a small sample.

Where do you begin? You have to commend her creativity. This is the first good art that the Borderlands film has even tangentially been responsible for. It's a great idea in and of itself.

Second, is it bizarrely affecting you? I'm sure I'm not alone in my tears, right? Sad Alex sings with the same emotion that you reserve for songs about the end of 15-year relationships or the death a loved one, about all the other things you could be doing instead of watching Borderlands. This song would make perfect sense if you played it over footage of me looking forlorn and lost in a rainstorm. I'd add it to my Apple Music collection if it didn't seem deranged.

Score one for Borderlands: Finally, something positive came out of it. You could have written a good song without spending tens or even hundreds of millions on a dumpster-fire film, but that is life. You live and you learn.
