Space Marine 2 developer asks players to behave nicely if they happen to come across Henry Cavill
The September Community Update for Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2 had all the usual trappings, like bug patches and announcements of upcoming content. But one part caught me off guard: a dev pleading with the community to behave better in case they run into Henry Cavill.
The community update states: "It was reported that some players displayed hurtful behaviours and comments in-game." "We will not tolerate this and take action to stop it.
"First and foremost we ask that you remain mature, respectful and polite with your fellow Space Marines. You never know what the other players are going through, how they feel, or how sensitive they might be. It could be... You don't want insult Henry Cavill, bro, no you do not."
It was only a question of time before we learned that Henry Cavill played Space Marine 2. But players were still excited when Cavill confirmed his love for Warhammer 40K on his Instagram account last week: "Loving PvP and looking forward to its growing and expanding." It has the potential to be absolutely amazing!
It's only fair that players are nice to eachother. No one wants to be banned. It's like your parents threatening your favourite power ranger to tell you that you didn't eat your vegetables when you were six.
It worked for me when I was six and it seems to work now. I'd be horrified if a player revealed that they were Henry Cavill. That would be a real jumpscare. We should all act like Henry Cavill, and be nice to everyone no matter what dumb decisions they make.
