The next Black Mirror season will feature Paul Giamatti and Awkwafina. Peter Capaldi will also be returning, as well as a sequel to USS Callister.
Netflix's Geeked Week is giving us a sneak peek at the next Black Mirror season with its new lead cast. The dystopian sci-fi anthology is returning in 2025 with some big names as its lead cast, including Awkwafina from Crazy Rich Asians, Doctor Who's Peter Capaldi and Paul Giamatti, who has appeared in many things.
Netflix has also confirmed a sequel to a fan-favorite episode from Season 6: USS Callister. In this episode, Jesse Plemons played a disgruntled employee of a game development company who used his psychosexual frustrations to command his simulated colleagues as the captain of a Star Trek VR roleplay. Netflix has not revealed any details about the sequel episode, but I am sure it will be unpleasant. But, in a good sense. Can't wait!
The cast of the film was revealed via a cryptic trailer that you can view on Netflix's Tudum website. It's a reference to Black Mirror's Bandersnatch. Other notable actors include Rashida from The Office and Parks and Rec; Tracee from Black-ish; and Chris O'Dowd from The IT Crowd. Here's the complete lead cast list.
- Awkwafina (Crazy Rich Asians, Jackpot)
- Milanka Brooks, (Black Mirror, The Windsors).
- Peter Capaldi, Doctor Who, Criminal Record
- Emma Corrin, (The Crown Deadpool & Wolverine),
- Patsy Ferran, Jamestown Firebrand

We can only guess what the next episodes will be. Who knows, maybe we'll hear an echo of Charlie Brooker's prediction about Balatro's mobile version destroying global productivity.
