The Space Marine 2 developers will make Veteran difficulty'slightly fairer,' but don't expect to add an FOV slider. And you can forget about shoulder swapping.

Space Marine 2 is doing well, but it could be better. The dev team stated earlier this month that they were "reading all of your feedback carefully" after the first hotfix was released. Now, to prove it, Focus Entertainment posted a Q&A covering many of the "hottest issues" raised by players.

Focus stated that the team's "top priority" is to fix connectivity issues which cause lost saves and make it difficult to play together with friends. Server capacity is being increased in order to better handle demand. The bot companions that have been criticized as being "inefficient" during solo play will be improved to be more effective when fighting bosses. They may also become more active in regards to "specific campaign objectives" in a future patch.

The Veteran difficulty level will also be changed, as some players feel it is too hard because the bot companions don't help them complete their objectives. Focus Entertainment stated that "[Veteran] is still challenging, but will be slightly fairer because we will tweak the AI aggressiveness in this difficulty." "Other difficulty levels will remain unchanged."

Focus has said that it will not add an FOV slider because the Space Marine 2 Camera "is very cinematic, and constantly changes FOV and position based on your actions." The option has been requested by a lot of players, so we are still considering it.

They're not considering a left-right swap of shoulders, which would be a massive job. "Everything in melee combat is based on you holding a pistol in your left hand and a melee weapon in your right hand, because it looks badass )"--nor are they planning to remove class restrictions for cloaks or tabards, because those are "part of class identification; you can recognize snipers by these elements."

Focus has described this as "the first batch" of Space Marine 2 questions and answers, implying there will be more at some point. If you have questions or suggestions, the first thing to do is check the year-one roadmap to see if it's already been implemented. If not, the second step is to post it on the Focus Together community hub.
