The Watch Dogs film has finished filming. It probably won't do any worse than the Borderlands movies

The live-action Watch Dogs film, which began principal shooting in July, is now complete. As Ubisoft announced on the hate site formerly known as Twitter, "run film_wrapped.exe(#watchdogsmovie.mp4)".

Markella Kavenagh (who played Nori Brandyfoot, the harfoot hobbit, in Rings of Power) recently joined the cast. Wilde and Kavenagh both hail from Australia, but it's unlikely that they will play Australian characters given how often Australians are cast as English or American characters in big-budget films.

We didn't want a Watch Dogs movie, as we said when it was confirmed a film based on the game was in the works. The Watch Dogs games lack the worldbuilding that the Assassin's creed series has, and it is hard to see how the license can offer anything more than a generic hacker film.

The Assassin's creed movie was a flop. But when Ubisoft handed director Josh Ruben Werewolves Within and said, "Just do a werewolf film, we don't mind if it's related to the videogame," did the results turn out to be great? If you enjoy the idea of a silly horror-comedy, werewolf film and have already seen Ginger Snaps then you should definitely watch Werewolves Within.
