These Asus gaming laptops have been heavily discounted and I think they are absolutely stunning.
When you think of OLED screens and thin and light gaming laptops you probably think expensive. You wouldn't be mistaken, if you were honest. These two Asus laptops are proof that you can still find super portable power with fantastic displays at great prices.
These are the Asus Zephyrus G14 and G16. We've reviewed both laptops (at higher specs - I'll explain later) and we give them high marks. Both machines are a cut above their competitors.
Both are fantastic deals for the price below. They're sleek, civilised and still have plenty of gaming power. Which laptop should you choose if you are looking for a laptop that has the goods, but doesn't scream "gamer" from every angle?

Gaming laptop deals
Many people find that 14-inch laptops offer the best portable power. It's easy to put in a bag or carry on a plane, or to bring to a conference without anyone noticing that you brought a gaming laptop.
This Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 is a small, thin, light gaming laptop that has a chassis to impress. Its AMD Ryzen 9 CPU, which has eight cores and sixteen threads, is not lacking in processing power. While 32 GB would be ideal, 16 GB LPDDR5X RAM at 6400 MHz is sufficient for most users.
The RTX 4060 GPU is a lesser version of the RTX 4070, which we reviewed and found to be a powerful GPU. DLSS 3 will deliver excellent gaming performance in a chassis too small to hold any gaming components. This is the 65W TGP version, with a 25W dynamic boost. It can be pushed to a 90W TGP by shifting power from the CPU to GPU in graphics-heavy situations.
With DLSS 3 helping it along, this is a great display for modern gaming. The OLED display is the crown jewel, and it looks amazing. The little Asus is currently available at Best Buy for $1,300. It's a great deal, especially considering the RTX 4060 graphics card and the excellent screen.

Ah, the Asus ROG Zephyrus G16. I'll tell you a secret: I really hoped that Asus forgot that they sent me one, and would never ask for it to be returned. I had to send my review model back with a heavy sigh, as it was everything I wanted in a gaming computer.
With a warning. My review model had a RTX-4090 that was simply ridiculous. It was too much GPU to handle for the cooling system of this ultra-slim and svelte laptop. This model uses the RTX 4070, a 105 W TGP variant. This is not the most powerful version of Nvidia’s mid-range laptop graphics card, but it should still be enough to deliver great gaming performance without excessive fan noise or throttling.
The G16 is civilised. Polite, almost. The chassis is beautiful, and I was surprised to see how far behind gaming laptops they are. It feels like a laptop from a different era.
Again, I'm going to wax poetic about the screen. It's an OLED display with a resolution of 2560 x 1660 that is so impressive for gaming and everyday use that it has ruined all other laptop displays for my liking. The Core Ultra 9 is a fast CPU. This model, however, has 16 GB DDR5 just like the G14.
I gave a score of only 79 to my review unit, because if it had a better GPU, it would have been close to 90. While the RAM and GPU are less powerful, this machine is much more balanced. It's a steal at $1,650 from Best Buy.
Here are two gaming laptops that are very affordable. The 14-inch G14 may be a great laptop, but I would personally choose the G16 because I like a larger display. You can choose what you want. Whichever you choose, you will get a laptop that feels and looks like a million bucks.
