You'll want your new gaming PC to be able to run any game, even in 4K resolution, if you're spending nearly $2,000 for it. This ABS Kaze Ruby rig is capable of doing that, and I know this because I own an RTX4080 Super and use a Ryzen7 7700X on one of my test systems.

The 4080 Super is Nvidia’s second-most powerful graphics card, after the RTX 4090. However, since the RTX 4090 is priced ridiculously, it is the more sensible high-end option. It's a beast with 10,240 shaders and a boost clock at 2,625 MHz. 16 GB of fast memory will allow it to spit out frames in no time.

If that's not enough to boost performance, you can also use the full range of DLSS 3.5 technology (AI-powered frame generation, ray tracing denoising, and AI-powered upscaling) in games that support it. It's a fast GPU.

The Ryzen 7 7700X is a great processor for such things, as it ensures that the graphics card will never be left waiting to render a new frame.

While AMD's X3D is the focus of all gaming headlines, it seems that many people overlook this chip because it 'only has' eight cores and sixteen threads. I've played more than enough games on this CPU to know it's good enough to pair with an RTX 4800 Super.

It gets better as ABS has installed 32 GB dual-channel DDR5 memory, set at 6,000 MT/s, the sweet spot for Ryzen processors.

This build has only one problem. It's not a cooling solution as the Thermaltake UX200 will handle the Ryzen's high heat output. There are four 120 mm fans in the case to ensure good airflow.

The storage is my problem. It's true that it's a Gen4 drive, but it is only 1 TB, which is not enough for a gaming computer at this price. You can easily fill up that drive with games. It doesn't help either that it's Kingston NV2 model, which isn’t particularly fast.

Black Friday has some great deals on 2 TB SSDs, so that's what I'd buy first. Install Steam on the new drive, and you'll be able to store all your games. The motherboard has a total of three M.2 slots, one of which is half Gen4 speed.

This gaming rig will last you for years. When you're ready to upgrade, you can opt for a Ryzen 9800X3D.
