Overkill is a good thing in gaming PCs. Who among us would not want a PC that is so powerful that it makes all other PCs bow down to it? A mega PC that makes us smile each time we hit its power button.
The problem is that sometimes these mega specs are a waste. For example, this CyberPowerPC gamer supreme is currently available at B&H Photo for $2,330. It's a monster build, for sure, but for the price, it's not the worst deal. You'll need to ask yourself a few hard questions before you make a decision.

Are you going to use 64 GB RAM? You probably won't need 64 GB of RAM if you plan to play games with high-resolution graphics. Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is the only game that I can think of which requires 64 GB RAM. But that game has its own problems, and they have nothing to do with home machines.
What about content creation? Perhaps. This might make sense if you're a 3D modeller or video editor. I've tried to find out the exact speed of DDR5 but haven't been able to. If the rest of the system is anything to go on, it's likely that the DDR5 is pretty fast.
The Core i9 24-core CPU is also well-suited to handling content, and the 4 TB NVMe storage space is generous. CyberPowerPC didn't go for the RTX 4090 GPU, but it was probably a good move, given the current prices and the rumoured RTX 5090.

This Yeiyan Phoenix Glass is a great deal cheaper at $430. This PC is a little less powerful than the CyberPowerPC, but it still has its strengths.
The Core i7 isn't quite as powerful as the Core i9 but it still has 16 cores and will run modern games without any issues. What matters more for gaming performance these days is the GPU. And look what we have here --the RTX 4008 Super.
In 2024, 32 GB RAM will likely be enough for most users. It's also easy to upgrade if you feel you've missed something. This is also DDR5-6000, so it's a well-known quantity.
If you plan to install a lot games, then upgrading the storage space is necessary.
An SSD Upgrade
This DRAMless Nextorage drive is a great choice if you need a lot of storage speed but don't want to spend a lot. The extra cache is useful as a boot disk, increasing responsiveness to smaller write operations. For games, however, this cheaper option can be an excellent way to save money on a new build.
