Total War: Warhammer 3 DLC has just been announced and the Skulltaker will take your skull.
The Skulltaker has arrived, and he will be coming to Total War: Warhammer 3 with its new Omens of Destruction downloadable content this December 12. Let's see if you can make it to the end of this article without calling it Total Warhammer 3
Omens of Destruction, announced just today, introduces "new content" for the armies of Khorne and Ogre Kingdoms, as well as Orcs & Goblins. This includes Legendary Lords battle units, campaign features and free content for owners of the game.
For instance, Skulltaker. He's here and as the champion of KoIan, he's hunting for "worthy skulls" for his master. He's bringing a new feature to the campaign, the Cloak of Skulls, that allows him to add new skulls of enemy lords onto his cloak. This makes sense given the name. Skulltaker gains new abilities and traits with each skull. Presumably, with more skulls.
Skully has brought along some friends, too. Joining Skully are the "new units of the Blood God's Domain," including legendary heroes Skarr Bloodwrath, Skyla Anfingrimm and Bloodspeaker. Also joining Skully will be acolytes such as Bloodbeasts and Wrathmongers. Skullreapers and Khorngors are also included. My legal representatives are Bloodspeaker esq, Slaughterbrute esq, and Wrathmonger. Small world.
But it's not just Skulltaker. I wish that were the case. Gorbad Ironclaw is "one of the most infamous Orc Warbosses" and will be joining the ranks of Total War Warhammer 3’s most fearsome enemies. He will give bonuses to his orc comrades in battle and, as a tactical genius, he will allow for exotic "army formations that can defeat any challengers." He's joined in the campaign by Snagla Grobspit and other characters such as the Savage Orc Great Shaman and Night Goblin Big Boss. Other characters include the Black Orc, Mangler Squigs and Colossal Squig.
Golgfag Maneater is the final member of the trio. He's an infamous Ogre and merc who acts like a Warhammer PMC. He will settle disputes for his clients by "taking on all wars that they are involved in and conducting aggressive actions against their opponents." He is joined by Bragg, Ogre Paymaster and Bruiser. They are also joined by Golgfag Maneaters, Blood Vultures Yhetees and Thundertusks. I find it unfair that only Skulltaker and his friends have names. But he is still the Skulltaker.
The DLC will also be released alongside Total War: Warhammer 3’s 6.0 update, which includes the 100th Legendary Leader, Arbaal the Undefeated, as well as a faction update that includes the Ogre Kingdoms (Khorne), Orcs and Goblins, and the Ogre Kingdoms. Don't lose your head.
