Two Point Museum is a new addition to Two Point Universe. Pray that the kids do not knock over your valuable T-Rex.

It's always a lot of fun to imagine what the next Two Point Series game might be. Movie Studio? City Zoo? Port Authority Terminal? It's not any of those. Sega and Two Point Studios, following the success of Hospital and campus, have released Two Point Museum. This will allow players to curate and display historical exhibits for semi-feral kids.

To run a successful museum, you need to have a collection of artifacts to display. You'll send teams of experts out to collect rare artifacts. As your intrepid explorers continue their exploration, they will uncover new locations that contain ever-rarer artifacts from throughout history. All of these can be displayed and organized to keep your visitors satisfied--and more importantly, to keep them coming back. It's all about the money. Guided tours are essential, as are highlight exhibits, a fully-stocked gift shop and "ample" toilets.

You'll have to deal not only with the basics of museum management, but also with unexpected Two Point problems. These include everything from vandals and thieves to busloads full of rowdy kids to "keeping frozen cavemen" on ice. It's not a trailer gag.

Two Point Museum is expected to follow the same approach as its predecessors, Hospital and Campus. Both games are excellent management sims that are infused with a healthy amount of silliness. It also promises "deeper customisation options" than its predecessors and expanded gameplay via artifact explorations. Design director Ben Huskins said to Eurogamer that the expeditions would add a layer to storytelling and strategy, as players will need to decide who to send on the hunt and who to keep to run the museum.

Huskins told the website that some aspects of Two Point Museum were "rooted in reality". However, whether this reality would include an acknowledgement (or clever slaps at) the problematic elements of real-world museum--the British Museum is, for example, facing increasing pressure to return artifacts stolen from other countries during British colonial times--remains a mystery. Two Point Museum is a comedy sim and won't be able to tackle this issue directly. However, it could offer options to return items to their owners with penalties for those who refuse. It may be too complicated for a game like this. Perhaps just having a masked idiot appear to throw some Chef Boysardee at Old Master is enough.

Two Point Museum has not yet been released, but we expect to have more information soon. Steam currently has it available as a wishlist.
