Vampire Survivors Update brings new dark arcanas. But the best part of it is a retired man in his rocking-chair.

The latest Vampire Survivors Update has a lot of new things to do. It focuses on five new Arcana Cards to activate, which will give you strange and new ways to play. The update is centered around a new challenge and the new arcanas, the Darkanas.

The Darkasso Update includes nine new achievements as well as a challenge stage, two new skins for characters, and five new arcanas. Poncle notes that five of the new arcanas "are experimental and subject to changes."

The new character skins represent a new type of "special skins", which, in addition to changing their appearances, also alter the stats and weapons of their base character. These are rewards for completing both Adventure modes in the base game once. If you've already completed that, just open the menu.

The Darkanas are a bit hysterical. One makes you spit exploding projectiles out every time you take a hit, and the amount you've recovered in health over the course of the run increases the projectiles' damage. Love to intentionally take damage.

Operation Guns was the previous big update to Vampire Survivors. It's a straight crossover with Contra, and it's as silly as it sounds. There are rideable Jetbikes.
