For fifteen dollars, you get a well-made dungeon crawler that fans of Dawn of War and Diablo will completely eat up. The game has a lot of charm in the character design and an in-depth take on crafting and character customization. With online co-op on the way, the inexpensive price tag makes the game a complete steal. I highly recommend Krater.

Mixed emotions… Krater tries to be a squad-based action RPG, but ultimately it does not fully deliver, neither as squad-based, nor as action-hack/slash, nor even as an RPG- and that is truly a shame, for there was something really brilliant here. Still, it remains a fun way to pass many game-hours.

Krater makes me sad... It has a lot of potential.

If I were to jugde Krater by dismantling it into small parts and giving a grade to each one, this grade would be a 6. Krater has a spark and ideas, there's a lot of content and good fun, but there's also some boredom and repetitiveness. There was not enough time to polish the game. Krater has a lot of potential that will be used under two conditions: some of you will trust Fatshark and buy their game, and Fatshark will keep its promise and expand the game.

Krater presents an intriguing world, a new take on character development and clever design but at the same time the design choices to support its interesting mechanics are the negatives.

Krater offers an interesting take on post-apocalyptic games and utilizes strategic maneuvers while engaged in combat, but it felt a bit dragged out and of course, I went a little click happy. Although the story was okay, I felt that the gameplay was repetitive and the point-and-click tactic was getting tired.

This Earth-hole is worth exploring. This surprising adventure is fresh, long and visually stunning.

A rather enjoyable ARPG, with some nice ideas but a bad implementation that makes it frustrating at times.

Krater has a lot of good things going for it: an original setting (post-apocalyptic Sweden!), a fresh take on ARPG leveling mechanics, a moody soundtrack… Sadly, the monotonous and boring combat makes playing it a chore. Kudos for Fatshark for actively patching their game, but only time will tell whether the potential will ever be fulfilled.

There are lots of bugs and the leveling system is questionable, but the humour and unique gameplay are a plus.

Krater plays decently, and all the right ingredients are here. But it feels like the chef messed up in the kitchen, and combined them into a dish that may be worth eating, but is hard to recommend.

I could forgive the sub-par progression if Krater's battles were more interesting, but the optimal tactical approach is often obvious and the encounters don't vary much. What's there is fun, but it wears thin quickly as there's little room for improvisation or innovation in battle.

Krater is a fresh new take on the action role-playing game. It offers a unique setting, interesting character development and many cool ideas, but becomes very repetitive after a while. More sidequests, bosses and unique environments would have helped a lot.

Krater is an honest hack and slash with a colorful graphic and strong dialogues. Although the shallow combat system and the poor level design drag down its appeal.

Repetitive environments and enemies, lack of satisfying character development and very limited selection of gear – after a while Krater gets monotonous.

I really came into this game wanting to like it. As I said in my preview of the alpha version, it showed promise. That promise just never seems to be realized in the final version of the game.

Krater is an action RPG, set in an apocalyptic Sweden, that puts you in charge of a group of mercenaries intent on misbehaving for money. Despite excellent production values and bizarre humor, the game play might be too shallow to keep your interest for long.

Humoristic role playing in a post apocalyptic Sweden. An enthralling world, but sadly the game feels unfinished in several aspects.

There is an interesting backstory to the world of Krater, even if it isn't fully realized.

Punishing players for staying the course through lengthy grind sessions seems counterintuitive when the idea is to generally keep people playing.
