Free DLC for Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous includes a crossover with the indie dungeon-crawler Children of Morta
Here's a little surprise. The Owlcat CRPG Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous, released three years ago, just received a free DLC. It's a crossover between an indie action-RPG with a smaller footprint.
Children of Morta, released in 2019, was a pixel art dungeon-crawler about a family of adventurers named the Bergsons with their pet wolf cub and their intergenerational battle against a foe known as the Corruption. Apparently, a fight is coming to Golarion.
Two members of the Bergson Clan have appeared in the DLC called Visitors from Morta. They appear in the Worldwound that you are trying to close in Wrath of the Righteous. Lucy and John Bergson and their wolf Ryker need your help in their fight against corruption, it seems. The DLC adds two new character archetypes, the defender of the home for fighters, and the keen-eyed explorer for witches. It also includes a magic item and the option to have Lucy's braids for your character.
Wrath of the Righteous is a solid RPG with over 100 hours of content. It was a bit of a grind to fight trash mobs and have NPCs scream at you. But if you're looking for an RPG that you can sink into like a hot tub with some math, then this is a good choice. Visitors from Morta is available on Steam, GOG and the Epic Games Store.
