The Humble Bundle offers 11 Resident Evil 4 games for less than Resi 4 remake.
When you own most of the games and still want it, then it's a good deal. Humble Bundle’s ‘Decades of Horror’ bundle will allow you to play 11 Resident Evil titles on your PC for as little as PS25/$35.
The full bundle is available for a price of PS23.55/$35 and includes all mainline Resident Evil stories up to Resident Evil Village. The bundle starts with the (still gorgeously remade) original Resident Evil and includes the more recent remakes Resident Evils 2 & 3 and then the vanilla versions of every sequel, from Resi 4 - Resi 8. You also get Resident Evil Zero and the spin-off games Resident Evil Revelations 1 & 2.
If you find that twenty three and half pounds is too expensive, you can drop the price to PS15.70/$20. This will get you all of the games listed above EXCEPT Village. Resident Evil 7 will be removed from the list if you halve the price again. If you drop the price to PS2.35/$3, the original Resident Evil game, the first Revelations, and Episode 1 in Revelation 2 will all be available.
You can pay more if you want to. This is a great bundle that includes some of the best games made. The remake of Resident Evil has become a classic. Resident Evil 2's remake is a modern classic. Resident Evil 4... well, it is Resident Evil 4! There isn't one truly awful game here. Resi 6 is a bit messed up, and Resi 5 has some, um, questionable decisions. Both are decent action games. Even though Resi 3 remake is the weakest, it's still worth playing for the price.
The only notable absence is Capcom's latest entry in the series - last year's remake Resident Evil 4 It's understandable why this game was left out as it is still quite expensive on Steam. Rich pointed out in his review that the original is still the better game (though the remake has its own charms).
Humble's Resident Evil Bundle will run for another 20-days, with all proceeds going to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, and Breakthrough T1D a research organisation that focuses on Type 1 Diabetes. It has already raised over PS15,000 and I am sure that it will raise even more.
