Songs of Conquest developers ask players how much they think the next DLC should be.

Rise Eternal, a "story-focused DLC" for Songs of Conquest is coming soon. Although we don't yet have a release date, the developers are currently discussing the price, giving players the chance to have their say.

Magnus Alm, CEO of Lavapotion, says in a Steam post: "We'd like your help figuring out the cost for this DLC." We've created a simple survey where you can share your opinion. All responses are important to us.

The poll gives players the option to choose between four different price options: $4.99, $5.99 and $6.99. The poll also reveals what will be in the DLC. There will be a new wielder and a new campaign, with four maps. There will also be a few new map artifacts and objects. The story will allow players to learn more about Aerbor, and discover some secrets.

Even though the DLC is included at a reasonable price, some players are still not happy. One player says, "I'd rather pay $20 for an expansion than $5-8 for a smaller one." "It is annoying to have to purchase something repeatedly."

Alm seems to agree with this point: "It makes total sense, and to be clear: We are working on a major expansion with two new groups and a massive campaign." These smaller DLCs allow us to keep revenue levels high enough to pay for ongoing wages, office rental, software licenses and other expenses.

Most players seem to think that the obvious choice is to choose the cheapest option. Another player says, "I love the games and I would really like to support your guys going forward." "But $8 for four maps, one character and a few map items isn't going fly. I'll pay $5, but that still feels like a donation, at least in terms of a "price." What I'd love to see is a truly EPIC campaign."

You're in luck if you share the same dreams with this player. Songs of Conquest will not only get more DLCs following Rise Eternal, but there's also a new full expansion planned for 2025. Bleak East will introduce two new factions: the Vanir, and the Roots. It will also include a single-player story that will explain how these factions were formed and how they impact Aerbor.
