Mod support is now available in Satisfactory 1.0, and the new mod manager supports dedicated servers as well.

The community-driven modmanager has been updated by a month and a day to support version 1.0. Satisfactory Mod manager v3.0 has been "rewritten from the ground up for better performance and smaller sizes" and includes a number of significant new features. These include support for installing and maintaining mods on dedicated server and a brand-new UI.

The most important thing is that mods now work with the version that everyone is playing. Modders were stuck on the final early-access release of Satisfactory for the last month, unable to enjoy the nice additions of 1.0. Downloading the latest version of the mod manager via Github will now work with the default Steam version of the game.

Modifications are not all going to work instantly.

"Remember that every mod must be revised and recompiled with the new engine setup!" As with any major update, it may take some mods days, others, weeks, and others, never to be updated," warns the announcement posted today on the Satisfactory Modding Discord. Please be patient and remember that this work is done by volunteers. Use the Compatibility Information Icons in the Mod Manager or on Ficsit.app to determine if a mod has been updated for 1.0.

Modders are moving fast. By the time I opened the mod manager, a few mods had already been updated for 1.0. Mods are available for those who want translucent conveyor belts or cheaper teleporters. Or a machine which will identify each factory building with an overclocking shard.

Here's a list of all the highlights for the v3.0 Mod Manager:

  • Support for the 1.0 release is satisfactory
  • Support for dedicated server management - both remote and local
  • New UI
  • Rewritten from scratch to improve performance and smaller size
  • Signed Windows Installer (no Windows security prompts during installation)
  • Improved Linux support
  • MacOS support
  • Localization
  • Queueing mod installs
  • Proxy support
