The Steam launch of the most requested cozy game is scheduled for September
Tiny Glade has been on my mind ever since I saw its adorable castle-doodle clips on social media. The cozy gaming community has been smitten by the little game. It's ranked higher than usual on Steam's list of most-wanted games (spot 19, as of this writing). Pounce Light, which has been on our wishlists for a while now, just announced that it will be released on September 23.
Tiny Glade is a little building toy game that comes from the Townscaper family, but with a lot of editing tools. Tiny Glade is more customizable than Townscaper, which kept things simple. It still has that playful procedural aspect, where the fun is in discovering how the build changes depending on what you stick together. A footpath that leads to a wall will create an archway, allowing the path to continue. Shortening the roof of a castle segment turns it into a rampart.
The new Tiny Glade Trailer reveals some details that have not been seen before, such as water features with ducks that spawn within them. You can pet these ducks. It also shows a very large snowy castle, which I'm sure gave me goosebumps.
When I tried the demo in June, this was one of my questions. How big can we build it? I enjoyed playing in the small buildable area, but I'm a bit overambitious and wanted to create a massive castle town. I love to play with the tiny details of a forbidding, medieval castle. I'm counting down the days until I can lose myself in its cobbled streets.
Tiny Glade demo is also available on Steam today, for those who missed out. You can now get a feel for building before the full launch.
