A Tekken 8 modder has crammed all of Baldur's Gate 3’s origin characters into this fighting game

Who would win a fight between Karlach and Kazuya? What about Gale and whatever Jack model they're currently on? We don't need to wonder any longer thanks to modder D0ct0rSauce at the Tekken 8 Nexus. They've manipulated all six Baldur's Gate 3's Origin character into Tekken 8 so they can duke it out with a less gentlemanly, turn-based style.

D0ct0rSauce, rather than tackling the massive task of implementing all of them as new characters, swapped some of the alternate skins for Tekken 8's existing characters with models ripped directly from Baldur's Gate 3 Karlach is Azucena. Shadowheart is Jun. Astarion is Lee. Lae'zel, Reina. Gale, Claudio. And Wyll, Shaheen. According to D0ct0rSauce, the mods only replace two presets for each character and should leave your customized costumes alone.

D0ct0rSauce posted a nice sizzle video of the mod to the Baldur’s Gate 3 subreddit. It's just as slapstick and mashup as you'd expect: Highlights include Lae'zel squaring up with Kazuya and Astarion and Shadowheart juggling poor Gale. RIP to Blade of Frontiers.

It's a lot of fun and surprising, it fits in with the long history of fighting games featuring guest spots from crossover fighters. I think Geralt of Rivia appearing in Soul Calibur is a great comparison. But that series has also featured Yoda, Spawn and Tekken's Heihachi Mishihima. If you think about it those big Baldur's dollars are there for anyone who wants to do an official fight game cameo. You can still check out D0ct0rSauce mods on the Tekken 8 Nexus. Each character is available a la carte and there are also some Berserk models swapped in.
