Black Friday Steam sale alternatives: Even cheaper PC gaming deals

Steam isn't alone in slashing prices on games to ridiculously low levels. Many game stores are running Black Friday sales on Steam codes. This means you can get a code for a game that will add it to your Steam library, while spending less than the asking Steam price. Black Friday is all about this kind of deal shopping.

Steam is the only PC game store that can compete with it in terms of volume and name recognition. Most of them must find other ways to differentiate themselves. You can save money by shopping around.

You can also save money by simply reading this article. We've already done all the research for you. Here are the best Black Friday Steam key deals that we've found in legitimate stores. (Don't worry; there's nothing sketchy or too good to be true here.) Some of the deals aren't for games that you can activate through Steam. GOG, for example, has its own launcher but also offers DRM-free games, so you don’t need a launcher. While the prices are listed as USD, they should also be available in other countries at similar discounts.

Black Friday Steam Sale Alternatives: The Best Deals

Atlus Metaphor: ReFantazio - was $69.99 now only $45.49 at fanatical

This is the lowest Metaphor: ReFantazio price I've ever seen, and it's probably the lowest it'll get until 2025. This is the best RPG I've seen in years, and it's 35% off only a few months after release.

GMG offers $41.99." data-widget-type="deal" data-render-type="editorial">
Silent Hill 2 - Was $69.99, now only $41.99 at Fanatical

Silent Hill 2 remake already 40% off? That's so much more unease-for-your-buck. The scare value is through the roof!

Also $41.99 from GMG

GMG. A very nice price for a massive action RPG that will be released in 2024." data-widget-type="deal" data-render-type="editorial">
Fanatical has Dragon's Dogma 2 for just $33.59 instead of $69.99.

This is 9% less than Dragon's Dogma 2 in the Steam Sale, and a whopping 11% less than it is at GMG. This is a great price for a massive action RPG that was released in 2024.

OI's Oddworld Complete Collection - was $84.92 and now $1 at Fanatical

Oddworld is a mainstay of sales, but I have never seen the games this cheap. All of them are available for just a dollar, including the amazing Stranger's War and the latest entry, Soulstorm 2022. Ludicrous!

Capcom Street Fighter 6: Was $84.99, now only $35.69 at fanatical

This Deluxe Edition of Street Fighter 6 is the one to buy: it's a little more expensive than the base version, but it includes the DLC fighters and the year 1 character pass. You won't miss out on any of the goodies that have already been released. It's an excellent fighting game.

Green Man Gaming has Moon Studio's No Rest for the Wicked for just $27.83 instead of $39.99.

The action RPG, which is still in Early Access, was quite enjoyable to play earlier this year. Its heavy combat put it in the souls-like territory rather than Diablo. There's still loot and survival elements to be found, which give it a slightly different flavor than other games with similar ingredients.

Atlus Persona 5 Royal: Was $59.99 now only $20.99 at Fanatical

At 65% discount, I'd say that you're paying about 20 cents an hour for RPG entertainment. If you play Persona 5 Royal only once, then yes. This is a huge, massive RPG and the best game Atlus has made up until Metaphor: ReFantazio this year.

Disney's Classics Bundle - Was $224, now $10 at Humble Bundle

This Humble collection includes a number of classics including multiple Monkey Island point and click adventures, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic RPGs and the great Empire at War RTS as well as Republic Commando FPS. You may already own some of these games, but $10 will get you the rest. Proceeds can be donated to your favorite charity.

Green Man Gaming: Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption 2, previously $59.99, now only $17.23

Rockstar's Old West open world simulation is full of life. It's a masterpiece as long as you can deal with Rockstar's on-rails mission designs and the lengthy animations that accompany each button press.

SWAT 4, formerly $9.99, now $4.99 on GOG.COM

The grandfather of modern tactical shooters, still worth playing today. SWAT 4 wasn't available for several years before it was finally added to GOG.
