Deadlock has acquired some essential tools for policing player behavior

Valve's moba Deadlock, which is still in development, received a few new features this week that are not related to the game. These features are all intended to improve the overall experience for a large population. The first major update is the low priority queue. This will place players into a secondary queue where they are less likely to be matched. Low priority can be assigned to players for abandoning games, or for bad behaviour. They will need to complete a set number of full matches to return to normal matchmaking.

Players can now also lose access to certain features in-game, such as matchmaking and voice and text chat.

It's a great step forward and inevitable in what will likely be one of the most high-profile open development cycle since Valorant betas from late 2019 and early2020. To be honest, they'll need it pretty quickly. They already have cheaters messing about in there, which is pretty sad for cheaters. It's still not finished.

Deadlock has been the subject of many discussions here at PC Gamer. Morgan Park let us know that even though it has guns, it's not a shooter. Justin Wagner ignored him completely to go play more deadlock.

Wagner said that Deadlock gave him the same feeling as Dota 2 or Team Fortress 2 before they took over his life.

"Deadlock" is a new iteration of the MOBA. However, it's not incremental. This game is so full of new ideas that it's hard to assess how much depth it adds.

Everyone can agree that the best gargoyle is in Deadlock.
