Diablo 4 players will never have to endure its most torturous grind again, thanks to a hidden bonus with its new character boost.
I'm not going to lie. I'm a bit bitter that those who play Diablo 4 will no longer have to endure its most torturous grind. In my youth, we used to have to open a guide or play Where's Waldo first before Diablo 4 began. Blizzard seems to be acknowledging that it is a pain to click on statues in order to gain a minor but necessary benefit.
The hunt for Altars of Lilith has ended. Diablo 4 owners can boost a character to level 50 in the 'eternal world' or non-seasonal mode. They will receive a complete set of legendary items, , , and , the account-wide bucket stats they get by clicking all 160 Altars Lilith. If you own the Vessel of Hatred, you can also boost a second player.
Diablo 4's eternal realm may not be the best way to play, but your Altars of Lilith progression will automatically transfer to your seasonal realm characters. The pain we experienced will not be felt by anyone who has put it off or is a new player to the game. You won't notice the lack until you reach the maximum level, but since they are free, why not?
Diablo 4's Midseason Patch went live today. It brought major buffs to all classes except the spiritborn who have been dealing billions of dollars in damage since their debut. You can play a Spiritborn up to 25 levels on Battle.net, but not Steam. You've been warned. It's not enough to make you want to play any other class, but it's close.
The next week, XP and Gold gains will be accelerated. This will make it easier to level up from 1 to 60. A holiday event that runs until December 3 has also broken Helltide events. Normal Helltide monsters will drop a few Aberrant Clings that can be used to open treasure chests. However, the ones that spawned during the Blood Maiden event are exploding in thousands. I don't know if this is a bug, or the most generous Helltide event I've seen.
It's worth taking advantage of this before it is fixed, or at least until other players flock there to see how it looks when the ground has been covered in items. I opened more chests than I had cinders. Welcome to the season for cinders.
