Even though I have used the new Logitech Superlight Dex gaming mice, I still recommend that you pick up the original Superlight, particularly at its current Prime Day pricing.

I've been using the Logitech Superlight 2 Dex mouse for the past few weeks. It is an interesting mouse, despite its odd name. It feels like an upgrade at the same price, with a new shape and a sensor that's improved over the original Superlight model. The original Superlight mouse is available on Amazon for $91 and that's the best deal you can get this year.

The mouse is available in black or a dashing pink. It looks great and feels better. The Hero sensor can achieve a maximum DPI of 25,600. This means that it is super sensitive for those who are looking for a twitch-shooter mouse. It is 63 grams light, but its comfortable design and feel help to evenly distribute the weight. You won't have to recharge it too often with its 70-hour battery life. However, the Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro is a better option.

The mouse has an excellent max DPI, but you can only change this via the app. This limits its use. Once you're used to it, you can adjust the Logitech G App to your gaming preferences to create DPI profiles.

This is because the Hero 2 mice will be receiving a software update in the next month that will allow them to reach a 44K DPI. However, I think this is too high for casual users, including myself. This model also has 400 IPS. The newer Hero 2 mice are capable of 888IPS, which would be nice but not worth the extra $60.

In our Superlight review we said: "Lighter and brighter is what gamers want. Logitech doesn't disappoint with every turn." Nearly four years after this review, the assessment still holds true and it is still an excellent lightweight mice--even though newer iterations may be a bit brighter and faster.
