Feel the need for Speed? This Prime Day, the Logitech G920 costs just $190. I also found a deal on a direct-drive racing wheel that's well worth mentioning.

If you've never tried sim racing, I can tell you that it's as much fun as taking your gaming PC to the Bahamas. You know what I'm talking about, but I got off course there.

The problem is that proper sim racing equipment is expensive. It's a shame because it can keep your average gamer away from all the tire-burning fun. The Logitech G920 is a variant of Logitech’s budget racing wheel, which has been used by just about every professional racer.

Direct drive wheels are also an option if you want to go even further. These wheels can be expensive, but I've found some great deals. Look below to find sim racing nirvana, no matter what your budget is.

Amazon has the Logitech G920 for $190. This is the lowest price it's ever been in the last six months. Even at full price, it's a reasonable amount to pay for the product you get. But for $190? It's a real bargain.

You don't just get a wheel here. This wheel and pedal set will plug into your gaming system and interface with any racing game worth its salt. It costs less than half of the price of the cheapest direct-drive wheel we recommend. I'll recommend one of these in a minute, but first let's discuss why the Logitech wheel is a great buy.

A helical gear system and dual motors provide you with meaningful feedback via your hands. The gear system does a good job and keeps the price low. Direct drive wheels are at the top of the technology.

You get a 900-degree wheel rotation, a leather wheel hand-stitched, chunky shifter paddles, and a lot of buttons for mapping various car functions. Plus, a pedal set, which, while not the best, is still chunky enough to be used for heel-toe movement and brake resistance.

This is the perfect place to start sim racing for a budget. If you want something that will really blow your mind, I recommend this direct drive set.

This is the direct-drive wheel that makes the rest look a little overpriced. It's cheaper than the others, but it is a high-quality item of equipment with robust pedals and the wheel-feel that you would expect from a sim racing setup.

When I first reviewed the Moza R5 package, it was a very reasonable $460. Prices have increased since then, but you can still find them around $500. For that price, it's still an amazing deal. This is our top budget direct-drive wheel for a good reason, and I will tell you why.

Direct drive is a no-nonsense experience that's comparable to the best in the business, and it costs less. Direct drive wheels are essentially attached directly to an electric motor via the steering wheel. They can give instantaneous feedback.

Although $500 is a lot of money, you get a lot for your money. Everything here screams premium and overbuilt. The wheelbase, while small, is incredibly chunky and can deliver 5 nm torque, which will make it a powerful vehicle. The sheer detail of feedback is what really impresses, as every bump, divot, road-surface variation, and curb are transmitted through its substantial and rugged wheel.

The brake pedal can be made to feel like a real car with the help of the $30 performance kit. The Moza kit can now be used to simulate a car to a high level. I have new laugh lines as a result of this setup.

These two sim racing setups are sure to bring hours of enjoyment to your racing games. It's a great way to get involved with your games and I have even found it useful as a mindfulness practice. What a way to transform your gaming experience!
