AX8 Pro price check: Amazon $759

Check out our full review if you don't know what the AX8 Pro really is. Geekom took an AMD Ryzen 8945HS laptop processor, paired it with 32 GB dual-channel DDR5-5600 and threw in a 2-TB SDD as well.
This Ryzen APU features eight cores, sixteen threads, and 16 MB of cache L3. It also has a boost clock speed of 5.4 GHz. It also has a Radeon GPU with 768 RDNA shaders, and a top clock of 2.8GHz. If this sounds familiar, that's because the same processor powers the Asus RoG Ally X or Lenovo Legion Go.
It's not exactly, but the 8945HS does have a little AI Accelerator (aka an NPU), although it is not powerful enough to meet Microsoft standards to be classified as an AI PC. No, I didn’t think you would be upset, but you’ll at least know what gaming performance the AX8 Pro will provide.
The tiny PC is not just for this purpose. Think of it as an alternative to a desktop PC, or a more affordable Apple Mac Mini. It can be used for a wide range of tasks.
Normaly, when you cram a lot of hardware into a small case, you have to deal with either very noisy fans or really bad thermal limits. The AX8 Pro avoids both of these problems, and you won't even notice it if you use its 51 W Quiet Mode. The fans will only start to spin up when you switch into the Performance mode.
You won't get much benefit from using this setting, so don't be tempted to do it. Instead, enjoy its small size and quiet sounds. Can a sound really be silent? Hmm.
We love the AX8 Pro but its price has always put us off. Geekom's coupon for 20% off is a much more attractive deal. You'll have to hurry if you want $180 off the $899 price.
If you still find it too expensive, the Ryzen 7 version 8845HS, with 32 GB DDR5-5600 memory and 1 TB SDD is also eligible for the 20% discount. This brings the $749 price down to just under $599.
