Here's a mod that replaces Elden Ring's ugly and utilitarian Roundtable Hold by the beautiful and perfect Majula from Dark Souls 2.

The aesthetics of Elden Ring’s hub area is the Roundtable Hold. Dull grey stone corridors are lit by torches. The best parts of the hub area are the furniture, such as the roundtable, which you can barely see due to the tight camera angles. Dark Souls 2 fans will be surprised to learn that developers FromSoftware have already created a perfect hub: Majula. The beautiful seaside city with its perpetual sunsets and calming music is a perfect hub.

Drop0ff, a modder who goes by the name of Drop0ff, has done it. He replaced the entire Roundtable Hold with Majula. This allows Elden Ring to function as it did before. Just with a new hub. The description says that "every roundtable npc has been ported over".

Majula looks better than ever thanks to Elden Ring’s improved lighting system. It's a decade ahead of Dark Souls 2 in terms of technology. It's funny how similar the landscape around Majula is to Elden Ring. In fact, it has become a meme that Elden Ring looks like Dark Souls 2.

Majula's cast of bizarre characters is something that the mod cannot duplicate. What about the strange talking cat Sweet Shalquoir, a fan favorite? What about the all-time great, clutch bro Laddersmith Giligan? Elden Majula will be a hollow shell if they are not there. We'll just have to deal with the mediocre ear-botherer Gideon Ofnir, the All-Knowing.
