I'm so in love with the RGB lightshow on this Alienware keyboard that I made a demo video. And at $50 off, it's an early Black Friday bargain.

" data-widget-type="deal" data-render-type="editorial">I'm not always impressed by RGB lighting. After spending the last year traveling the world to see the best PC hardware available, all those glowing lights start to blend together.
This Alienware Wireless Pro Keyboard was a pleasant surprise when I took it out of the box to review it. The switch on the back caused a dazzling display of RGB, which literally made me say "woah".

This would be meaningless if the rest was not up to scratch. It's a little bit of a peach. I don't know if it's to everyone's taste, but the aesthetic is something old-school, 70's sci fi. It really got my juices going.
It looks and sounds just like the bridge from the Nostromo. It sounds more like a tickety-tock rather than a thockety-thock. Some may find this noise loud and distracting. It brought me back to my beige keyboards from my youth, and I felt more accurate typing with the crisply cut PBT keycaps and positive switch action.
Ask my editors if this is something I should be happy about. I could go on and on about how this keyboard sounds and looks, but it would be better to see it in action. Cue, a demonstration video.
Cool, ain't it? If the RGB is too much for you, the Alienware command center has a lot of options to tweak. There are brightness settings for each key, as well as a variety of other options.
This is a rare thing. Alienware's customization software isn't beautiful, but it is at least easy to use. Pro Wireless gets another win.
The keeb also has a nice little cushioned slot to hold the 1 KHz polling device. Bluetooth 5.1 is also included for additional connection options. The soft click-foot design is another highlight and reflects the overall build quality of this keeb. It's as solid as a rock and feels sturdy under pressure.
At $200, I thought it was a little pricey, and so I didn't recommend it for our guide of the best gaming keyboards. For $150 on Amazon, I think this is a great option for anyone looking for a high quality wireless keyboard that stands apart from the crowd.
This keyboard is not for everyone. But if you like me are attracted to a mix of old-school charm with modern hardware tricks, I think you won't go wrong buying one.
