I love the Logitech G Pro X Superlight. It's my baby and has been for the past couple of years. It is my favorite PC gaming gear. This includes CPUs and graphics cards, monitors and keyboards. I love it so much. Now that it is on sale at Amazon for $91 I would recommend it without hesitation.
Why do I love this so much? Why do I love it so much?
Let's begin with what it is. If you want something lightweight and simple, this is still a great gaming mouse. It's a lightweight mouse that glides easily across both hard and soft surfaces. The wireless connection is flawless and the HERO 25K sensors still work well for competitive gaming. Combining this with a simple, yet stylish and comfortable design, you get a fantastic gaming device.
Then there's the symbolism. The G Pro X Superlight was launched at a time when other lightweight mice had holes in their shells. The Superlight proved that you don't need to honeycomb a mouse to keep it super light. No ugly gunk-traps, just a nice, sturdy outer shell with some fantastic esports performance.
It is now a good value for money, as its cost has been steadily declining. You can get the basics right - comfort, weight, precision - without wasting resources on unnecessary bells, whistles, and frills. Anyone, even competitive gamers, will be satisfied with 40 G acceleration, 400 pixels per second, and a maximum DPI of 25,000. This makes the Superlight gaming mouse one of the few that doesn't go for overkill.
In other words, it's reasonable--especially so at just over $90. It's true that the price hasn't been $160 for a while, but it shouldn't have been given that it's a very old mouse. $91 is still a great deal.
Although the Superlight 2 Dex and the Superlight 2 are technically superior to the original Superlight, I don't think these differences should matter much to the average gamer. They shouldn't matter to competitive players. The original Superlight might not be as impressive in 2024 with its 1 kHz rate, but the savings here should more than make up for it.
The Superlight 2 costs $150, and the Superlight 2 Dex costs $160. I think that the original Superlight offers a better value for money. I would buy it in a flash if I did not already have one.
