Prime Day has brought this Radeon RX7700 XT to its lowest price ever on Amazon. It's now only $350.
RX 7700 XT price check: Walmart $379.99 | Newegg $379.99
" data-widget-type="deal" data-render-type="editorial">The world's hardware reviewers and gamers were all in agreement when AMD launched the Radeon RX7700 XT card last year. The raised eyebrows weren't because of its performance, which I will discuss in a minute.
The RX 7800XT, which is a powerful GPU, was only $50 more. This makes the 7700XT an odd offering. It's not surprising that sales were slow, but the price tag has steadily decreased over the months. Now, during Prime Deal Days, it is at its lowest price ever on Amazon, a cent below $350.
This makes it $20 cheaper than Nvidia RTX RTX4060 Ti, which is currently $369 on Amazon. So, the obvious question is: Which GPU should you choose? The RX 7700XT is the best choice because it is a faster graphics cards in most games.
The RTX 4060 is only favored when a lot of ray tracing is used in a game. However, this is a Pyrrhic win as the frame rates are not suitable for gaming.
Nvidia's small GPU has another trick in its arsenal, however, and that is its DLSS. The AI-powered frame generation and upscaling system is excellent. While the overall performance gains may not be as good as those achieved with AMD's FSR but the visual quality will definitely be superior.
The RX 7700 XT is faster and has more VRAM. While this may not seem like a big deal now, if your plan is to keep your GPU for a few years, those 12 GB of GDDR6 fast memory will pay off.
At this price, I would choose the RX 7700 XT, despite its superior feature set. I know that there is only a $20 price difference, but I would choose faster gaming over a better-looking frame rate any day.
