The developers at Ubisoft have shared information about the second season of support for the pirate action game Skull and Bones. They report receiving "simply amazing feedback" from the audience since the game's release.
The blog post lists the most significant changes the team has made to Skull and Bones based on player feedback. Notable updates include a revamped PvP combat system and an overhaul of the global economy.
At the end of the season, players will experience a soft wipe. Those who have reached the diamond rank will receive cosmetic rewards. Captured manufactories (factories) and territories will be reset, as well as all accumulated doubloons over 300,000. Players will receive compensation based on the size of their empire. In the new season, players will need to rebuild their trade and production systems from scratch.
The blog mentions that the developers are so encouraged by player feedback that they have decided to double the amount of new content for the second season.
Pirates can look forward to the following changes:
- Enhanced ship upgrade system.
- Overhauled fleet management.
- New modes for single-player and PvE.
- Rebalanced manufactory economy.
- Expanded methods for acquiring manufactories.
- Additional promised content, including a boss, monster, ship, weapons, armor, furniture, and more.
