Someone created a mod that bypasses the PSN login in God of War Ragnarok and it works.

Sony's God of War Ragnarok is experiencing some minor turbulence. The port itself has received mostly positive feedback. Some people are experiencing technical issues, while others mention a possible memory issue. However, the most common complaint on Ragnarok Steam's page is the annoying PSN sign-in requirements. This is what is contributing to the "Mixed rating".

Forcing PlayStation-uninitiated PC gamers to make an account for a solely singleplayer game is uncool. NoPSSDK by iArtoriasUA is a great mod if a PSN account is your biggest obstacle to playing this great game. The mod adds an.dll file to the Ragnarok folder which disables the PSN overlay, and mimics a fully-offline mode.

I have tested the mod. It worked for me. However, you should only try this at your risk. The game asked me to link my PSN to Steam. Ragnarok no longer bothers me about this. The "Sign in PlayStation" button no longer works, and I can load my save as normal.

Some users have reported problems with the mod. Several noted that the bypass didn't work and they still received popups for sign-in. Mod author iArtorias suggested blocking "GoWR.exe". The process was much smoother for me. However, it's important to note that the PlayStation overlay already recognised my login from Concord when I first launched Ragnarok. This could explain why it was so smooth.

This is the first PSN bypass that I am aware of. It won't be last if Sony wants to make this requirement a standard thing for games that shouldn't require PSN hooks. (The Last of Us Part 2 is presumably coming to PC one day, as well as Spider-Man 2).
