Star Wars Outlaws $40 season pass includes 2 story packs including a meeting with Lando later this year

Star Wars Outlaws hasn't been released yet, but you are able to buy additional Star Wars Outlaws. Ubisoft, as usual, is selling a Star Wars open world adventure season pass that promises more story in the next six months.

One of these extras has already caused some controversy. The "Jabba’s Gambit" exclusive mission caused a stir, when websites thought that the famed galactic criminal would be behind an additional paywall. Ubi clarified this by stating that Jabba will be prominently featured in the main story. It was a false alarm, but it's still a bummer that day one content is locked behind an additional purchase.

Today's news is about what the other two story packs are going to be. The first is "Wild Card", which is set in Fall 2024. Kay Vess has been hired to "infiltrate" a high-stakes Sabacc Tournament. However, when she crosses paths Lando Calrissian (a notorious gambler), she quickly learns that he is playing a different game. Wild Card comes with a cosmetic package called Cartel Ronin.

The pass concludes in Spring 2025 with "A Pirate's Fortune", where Kay "runs into veteran Pirate Hondo Ohnaka who is looking to settle an old score with a ruthless pirate gang."

He was first introduced in the Clone Wars show back in 2009, and he appeared for a half-dozen episodes before returning to Star Wars Rebels in 2015. He first appeared in Clone Wars in 2009 and stayed for a few episodes before returning in Star Wars Rebels. Then I realized that I've met Hondo personally: He's an animatronic pirate who delivers a speech at the beginning of the Smuggler's Run attraction in Disneyland Galaxy's Edge. He's a straight-forward guy. Would have a drink.

The only way I can get my buddy Hondo's story pack in Outlaws is to buy the entire Outlaws package. Ubisoft only sells the Outlaws Season Pass as a bundle along with the main game. The Gold Edition ($110) includes the pass at the regular price plus $40. The Ultimate Edition ($130) adds a digital artwork and other cosmetic items.

Ubi plans to sell the storypacks separately when they are released, but did not mention how much they will cost. We can make an educated guess based on Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora's DLC and estimate that Wild Card and A Pirate's Fortune are likely to cost $15 each. If you're only interested in the Outlaws Season Pass for the story packs you might want to wait and see if purchasing them individually is a better deal.
