Steam's annual Halloween Sale is a great way to save money on hundreds of scary , spooky and shocking games.
There's still plenty to explore, even if you're not into the usual videogame thrills and scares. Halloween isn't meant to be scary. The various horror trappings, while associated with the holiday, are just like the pumpkin in pumpkin spice.
Here are some Steam Scream 3D selections that won't make you jump out of your seat or scream. (Probably.)
- Mortal Kombat 11, $5/PS4/EUR5 (90%) off
- Batman: Arkham Collection $9/PS7.49/EUR9 - 80% off
- Observer: System Redux - $9/PS7/EUR9 (70% off)
- System Shock – $16/PS14/EUR16 (60%)
- System Shock 2 is also 75% off - $2.49/PS2/EUR2.40
- Rusty Lake, Roots, Paradise, all at half price, making them only $2 each. I will never stop recommending these games for a truly creepy experience
- Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Ultimate Edition $6/PS4/EUR5 - 80% off
- Vampire Survivors: $4/PS3/EUR4 (25% Off)
Alien Isolation costs $10/PS9/EUR10 (75%) and Subnautica is half-price, making it $15/PS12.49/PS15.
Since this was recently passed to me, I would also like to suggest the demo for Dead Letter Dept. This is a typing game where you are assigned a dull, dead-end position while strange things keep happening around you. I haven't had time to play the demo enough to make any meaningful judgments, but it has a Stories Untold feel to it that I like. I'm eagerly awaiting my next chance to play it.
Steam's Halloween 2024 sale is now live and runs through November 4.
