The best podcast and streaming microphone I've ever used is my early Black Friday deal.

" data-widget-type="deal" data-render-type="editorial">I felt a pang of pain in my stomach when I learned that the Shure MV7 original was being discontinued. It may seem odd to have such a strong reaction when a microphone is discontinued, but if you use genuinely brilliant equipment every day for years, it becomes cherished.
I didn't need to worry, as I found that the Shure MV7+ podcast microphone was even better. I just found it on Amazon for $249. While it's a small discount, a $30 savings on a microphone that's been around for only six months is worth mentioning.
Especially one as brilliant as that. Professional-sounding audio is supposed to be difficult, but the Shure MV7+ has a magnificent party trick up its sleeve. The MV7+ has a software that is remarkably simple. It's plug-and play.
Noise cancellation? It is on by default and does a great job. Gain levels? It's auto-adjusted right out of the box. You can move around and still sound as consistent as you want. Plosives? Plosives are eliminated, thanks to the Digital Popper Stopper and a chonky, foam surround.
What about EQ? It's a single slider that does a great job. Keep it in middle for a natural crisp sound. Pull it over to dark for an old-school radio vibe. Or push it the other way for extra clarity.
Normally, I would hate overly simple controls on a microphone. Shure has stripped down its years of audio capture expertise to the bare minimum, allowing anyone to get a great sound from this microphone.
Drawbacks? It doesn't have a stand. If you want the best audio quality possible, I recommend getting a boom arm so that it can be placed close to your mouth. Thankfully, you have a wide range of options, as the Shure MV7+ will fit into any standard fitting.
I personally like this Tonor model, but you can shop around. Once you have attached it to a mount, and placed it near your face, you only need to press record. The Shure will do the rest and you can do what you love, ramble about whatever you want.
This Magic Mic is a fantastic piece of kit that I would recommend to anyone willing to listen. Go forth, my friends, to capture audio that sounds fantastic.
