The release of the beefy medieval RPG Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 was delayed until February
As the sun rises each day, so too has another ambitious RPG been delayed. Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, which is not far away, is now a little further than originally planned. It will miss its initial release date of 2024 and instead slip into 2025. The new release date for the movie is February 11, 2019.
The RPG sequel, which was announced in early 2018, surprised no one, considering the rumours surrounding its development. The first time, developer Warhorse created a medieval romp that combined bawdy antics with intrigue and drama in the forests and castles around Bohemia.
Kingdom Come is a refreshingly grounded RPG in a world of fantasy RPGs. It's an historical drama where cooking herbal remedies and dueling knights replaces slinging magic spells and slaying evil monsters. Henry, the protagonist, is also relatively grounded, despite his unusually interesting life. At least at the beginning, he is the son of a smith who has no clue about the world.
The original game has a lot of content, but despite its size it doesn't burden players with endless diversion or map clearing nonsense. Warhorse promises a game twice as big, at least when it comes to the map. There are two maps, and one of them will take us to the Czech city Kuttenberg. You can still visit it today.
Warhorse was 11 people when it started working on the first game. Now it has 250, which should translate to a smoother launch with fewer bugs and performance problems.
Henry and Hans will get into a lot of scrapes and rudimentary weapons, as well as horseback murders, sieges, and other mishaps. This is the part I'm looking forward to the most: two slightly dumb lads getting into trouble in the Bohemian countryside.
