Industry analysts believe that Rockstar Games may release a mobile version of Grand Theft Auto IV for iOS by the end of next year. This speculation is based on Rockstar's previous announcements that they would bring older game titles to mobile platforms as part of their 10-year anniversary celebrations. For example, Bully: Anniversary Edition, originally released in 2006, was recently made available on mobile devices, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, which debuted in 2004, was released on mobile just before 2014.
Grand Theft Auto IV was initially launched on last-generation consoles in April 2008. Following the pattern set by San Andreas, it is possible that the mobile version of GTA IV could be released in late December 2017. While this news might seem surprising to many, considering that the game once demanded high-end PC specs, current flagship Apple devices are now powerful enough to run it on low graphics settings. By next year, even more advanced mobile hardware could handle the game at medium settings, making this potential release feasible. We now await an official announcement from Rockstar.
