Recently, Rockstar Games announced the re-release of Grand Theft Auto IV, titled Complete Edition, which includes all story expansions. The game will finally be detached from the non-functional Games for Windows Live service, though some radio stations will temporarily disappear.
Today, it was revealed that the new version of the game, set to launch on March 19th this year, will feature a full achievement system on Steam. This includes 55 trophies, with no achievements tied to multiplayer. This is due to the removal of leaderboards and multiplayer mode following the detachment from Live.
The publisher also noted that all current owners of GTA IV and/or GTA IV: Episodes from Liberty City will receive the re-release for free. Currently, the game cannot be purchased on Steam as it has been removed from sale.
