The Witcher 3 Developers Fully Abandon Multiplayer Mode

According to Michał Platkow-Gilewski, the head of the advertising division at CD Projekt Red, the developers of The Witcher 3 have definitively decided against incorporating a multiplayer mode in the game.

Platkow-Gilewski clearly explained the reasoning behind this significant decision. In a brief interview, he stated that the development team cannot envision how to integrate multiplayer with such a strong and well-crafted storyline. The developers intend to focus most of their efforts on the single-player mode to ensure that every player can truly enjoy the hundreds of hours of detailed narrative and engaging gameplay. "This is why the great hero Geralt can only be one in the game," he emphasized.

While there is no exact release date for the final installment of The Witcher series, the developers have indicated that The Witcher 3 is expected to be available on PC and next-generation consoles next year.
