An insider known as RalphsValve has claimed that Rockstar Games plans to release a remaster of Grand Theft Auto IV in 2023. According to the insider, the remaster is being developed for current and previous generation consoles, as well as PCs.
The updated version will include all story expansions, but it will not feature any online functionalities. The insider did not specify how extensively the developers plan to change the original – whether it will be recreated on a different engine like GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas, or simply receive support for ultra-high resolutions and enhanced textures.
It is worth noting that the fourth main installment was released around 13 years ago and received very high ratings from critics and players. It utilized the Euphoria physics engine, which allowed the game to boast realistic NPC animations and vehicle behavior on the roads.
