Supervive is now available in early access, a free-to-play game that combines 'MOBA battle-royale' with 'MOBA'. It's one of the most popular Steam demos.

Supervive, the demo that was second most popular at Steam Next Fest in October, only behind Delta Force, is now available on Steam as an early access. It has already attracted nearly 30,000 players concurrently.

The free-to play game is a genre mashup, which its creators call "MOBA battle Royale meets hero Shooter" -- think MOBA perspective and controls but instead of marching down lanes, you drop onto a map for battle royale in two or four player teams. The game also has a MOBA style PvE element, with minions and "Meteor Bosses", to fight.

Harvey, who was at Next Fest, praised the Blizzard polish of the game. The studio behind it, Theorycraft, is made up of former Riot and Blizzard devs, which makes the Overwatch-like design of the characters pretty obvious.

Supervive's positive response to its demo is a good indicator. Positive user reviews have been pouring in on Steam and its Twitch audience isn't too bad either with 48,000 people watching as of this writing.

Supervive's Battle Royale mode is currently available in duos and four-player squads. However, a solos mode is teased as a "special event game mode" on the Steam page. It is not yet available as far as I am aware. Supervive currently includes a deathmatch 4v4 mode and a training mode.

Theorycraft intends to keep Supervive as early access for a period of six to twelve months.

The studio states on its Steam page that it plans to remove the Early Access label once they have polished their art, environment, UI, and metagame progression up to "launch" quality, added additional metagame progress, sorted out any emerging gameplay issues, and taken action on major community feedback.
