Blizzard has just leaked the entire Hearthstone expansion.

Blizzard has announced The Great Dark Beyond expansion for Hearthstone, a spacefaring collection of 145 cards that will be available on November 5. In a departure from the usual drip-feed schedule, all 145 cards were revealed at once to the community thanks to what was probably the biggest leak of the game's decade long history. It's a way to celebrate, I suppose.

The leak is not known, and the game's developers have kept quiet about it so far on social media. However, according to Resetera's post, it's linked to a free Avatar of Hearthstone card that Blizzard distributed as part of today 30.6 patch.

This card , which is part of the 10th anniversary celebration giveaways for the game, is earned after playing at least one match on the new patch. After claiming the card, which is cool and flavourful (not that this will comfort Blizzard too much right now), it appears that the entire Great Dark Beyond set has become viewable as uncraftable in the collection.

This one is a real bummer for the Hearthstone Team. New set reveals tend to be tightly-managed affairs, which are released over a period of weeks. Sites and influencers will typically show off a few new cards at a given time and give their opinions on how the cards might impact the game.

Take our own reveal, for instance, of three cards from Whizbang's Workshop earlier this year. You not only got a look at them, but also some insightful thoughts about which one might be "the real juicer," as resident Hearthstoner Tim Clark described it.

Blizzard is likely to continue with the planned release schedule. However, for some, the excitement for seeing the new cards has gone. This may be a particularly painful blow with this expansion. It will introduce the dranei minion type, and allow players to build and launch starships. From the announcement:

Starship Piece Minions can be found all over The Great Dark Beyond. When they die, the stats and effects of their death are added to your Starship construction. Press the button to launch your Starship onto the board. You can stack up as many pieces before you launch as you like.

Anyone can build a Starship in The Great Dark Beyond, but six classes have their own Starship cards. These are Death Knight, Demon Hunters, Druids, Hunters, Rogues, and Warlocks. Each class has a unique Starship with a unique art and name, which represents their role in The Great Dark Beyond.

Blizzard is going to be a little surprised by today's leak. It's not what you'd expect from Hearthstone.

A bright spot in all of this is the fact that some Hearthstone users on social media are urging other players not to share leaked cards (and we won't be). Zeddy, an established Hearthstone content creator said that he would pretend like nothing ever happened. It might be best for everyone involved to just keep going. While many Hearthstone players will see these cards in advance, there are still plenty who won't.

If you want to view the cards for yourself, it's easy to do. But if you're not interested, you may want to avoid Reddit or your favorite Hearthstone leaked account on X.

Hearthstone players will be able to enjoy a pre-release Tavern Brawl starting on October 29. It will run until The Great Dark Beyond is released on November 5. Pre-orders for the Great Dark Beyond Mega Bundle are now available.
