Dr Disrespect will be the head of Rumble's Rumble Gaming Category.

Guy Beahm - better known as Dr. Disrespect - has joined right-wing streaming platform Rumble. He is not only a streamer, but also the leader of Rumble gaming, the platform's gaming livestream category. This is not the same as the esports talent agent of the same name which is unrelated.

Rumble stated that "as part of a deal that includes equity and milestones as the majority of its compensation," Dr Disrespect would provide exclusive content to Rumble Premium, for his Champions Club community. "Dr Disrespect is also going to lead Rumble Gaming as an advisor, and help build the Rumble Gaming Community."

Beahm continues to stream free content, along with exclusive content for Rumble members.

Beahm made the move to Rumble after his request to remonetize YouTube, which was demonetized by Twitch in June, following his admission that he had inappropriate conversations with a child on Twitch was denied in September. Ironically, he shot down rumors a few weeks after that he would be moving to Kick by posting a disparaging message saying he would retire first. "My community is best in the industry," said Beahm at the time. "I wouldn't go there."

It's fair to say that Kick hosts a number of personalities with a dubious reputation. For example, the platform pays xQc for gambling streams and Nickmercs is banned from Twitch. Rumble also hosts a number of personalities with a dubious reputation: Streamers such as Dan Bongino and Steven Crowder are currently trending. Also, Russell Brand, The Quartering and the Tate Brothers. Is it worse? I would argue it is.

Beahm's not a bad match for it. In October, he announced that a line inspired by Donald Trump called "Make Gaming Great Again", was available to purchase on his site. It sold out very quickly.

"Crazy that a 'class' of people' would try to cancel us, and create a false narrative about an event from almost a decade earlier. Beahm, using his real name X account that had been inactive for over a year, said: "They embarrassed my family and me." This "narrative," which was based on Beahm's June admission, in which he downplayed the interactions he had with a minor, which led to a lifetime Twitch banning, claiming that they were "casual conversations between two people that sometimes leaned towards being inappropriate." Beahm and Twitch have not released the logs of these conversations.

"And with all this false, negative energy from YouTube, they decided to act too and take away my livelihood by demonetizing me without any explanation. I am truly grateful for the chance to help grow an energetic platform that represents values with which I agree. No more cancel culture, no more suppression."

"Rumble is entering a new era and I am laser-focused on expanding to two categories: gaming, and crypto," Rumble chairman and CEO Chris Pavlovski stated. "Dr Disrespect is a much needed injection for our gaming category."

Beahm will be streaming his first Rumble stream on December 2.
