Dragon Age: Veilguard won't be released before October at the earliest.
BioWare is being vague about the release date for its upcoming pansexual dwarf romance simulator Dragon Age: The Veilguard. They only said that it would be released in the autumn of this year. As Eurogamer has noted, we can now narrow down that launch date even further. Publisher Electronic Arts updated its quarterly report and gave Dragon Age: The Veilguard an Q3 release. This means it will be released between October 1 to December 31.
But don't book your October vacation just yet. In November, it will be the 10th anniversary since Dragon Age: Inquisition was released. This would be an excellent time to release its sequel. In a recent blog post, BioWare said that we can expect to hear the release date in August as well as a "new roadmap" and "more look at the game".
BioWare announced recently that the next Dragon Age would contain 140,000 dialogue lines. This puts it ahead of Inquisition, which had 88,000 words, and the estimated 114.921 lines in Baldur's Gate 3's dialogue. This should mean that the companion banter will be triggered more often than in Inquisition where your friends would only speak up every 15 minutes, if you were lucky. I'm still angry I never heard Dorian flirt with The Iron Bull.
Our optimism levels have been divided on the potential of BioWare to return to form with The Veilguard. Fraser Brown felt that the gameplay reveal showed how out of touch EA, BioWare and EA have become. Ted Litchfield's optimistic outlook and copium level is a bit closer to mine. Despite being an old-school RPG sicko, he is still pretty optimistic about Dragon Age The Veilguard.
