Save $40 on the Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro - one of the best gaming mice available.
Price check: Newegg $129.99 | Razer $159.99
" data-widget-type="deal" data-render-type="editorial">The humble gaming mouse is the one component of a PC Gamer’s kit that sparks a lot of discussion in our office. I won't get into the details of who prefers what, because they are all wrong. The best gaming mouse is Razer DeathAdder V3 hyperspeed.
I'm sure I would have said that, since I reviewed it earlier this summer, but the reigning champ before it was the DeathAdder V3 Pro. It is currently available on Amazon for $109.99, and no one ever disputed that decision. The HyperSpeed pushed the Pro out of the top spot because it was cheaper and just as good.
Thanks to Mr Bezos's Big Deal Days and Amazon, the difference is now just $11 - the HyperSpeed costs $99 - making the Pro an excellent deal.
The V3 Pro is faster and more accurate with its optical sensor (35K, 750 IPS and 70 G, compared to the HyperSpeed at 26K, 500IPS and 40G), and the polling rate of the V3 Pro can be set up to 8,000Hz using the HyperPolling Wireless dongle included. It will eat through the battery in that mode, but it is nice to have.
The V3 Pro may be a bit much for some PC Gamers, but you don't need to use it on its maximum settings. Both the DPI and polling rates can be adjusted to a more comfortable setting, which will also improve its battery life.
The HyperSpeed is eight grams lighter than the Pro (55 vs. 63 g), but that's not much of a difference. I find mice too light to be annoying when used outside of gaming.
I would still rate the DeathAdder V3 as the better wireless gaming mice than the V3 Pro at their normal prices. However, when the difference is just ten dollars and 99 cents, I would choose the Pro.
