Godzilla Crossover in Dave the Diver Begins May 23

A free Godzilla-themed expansion for Dave the Diver is set to release soon. The developers shared some details and the release date in a PlayStation blog post.

Here’s what they revealed about the crossover:
✅ The event commemorates the 70th anniversary of the Godzilla franchise.
✅ Dave will encounter G-Force, an international military organization dedicated to protecting humanity and preventing disasters. G-Force is tracking an injured Godzilla and arrives at the ocean area where Dave and his team reside.
✅ The protagonist will face not only Godzilla but also another kaiju, Ebirah, a giant shrimp that first appeared in the 1966 film "Godzilla vs. the Sea Monster."
✅ It seems Ebirah will be the main antagonist of the expansion. Players will fight Ebirah in a small submarine before the battle moves to the ocean's surface, where Ebirah will clash with Godzilla.

The Godzilla expansion launches on May 23 on all platforms where Dave the Diver is available. The DLC will be accessible until November 23. It’s unclear if the expansion will be removed from stores or also from players' libraries after this date.
