These three RTX 4000 Prime Day laptop deals all cost under $1500 and show that fast gaming laptops do not have to be expensive.

Portable gaming power can be a luxury. Your gaming rig will suddenly become a flexible machine, allowing you to move it around the house, to bed, or even into work. If it has a RTX 4070 GPU, you'll get desktop-like framerates.

But they're still expensive, right? It depends on how you look at things. I found three RTX gaming laptops under $1,500 on Prime Day, and I would be proud to own them. They are all capable of delivering a great gaming experience for less than what you might expect. While calling them cheap may be a stretch, they are all very well priced for the gaming experience that they can provide.

Dell G16

$1949.99 Save $650 on Dell's $1,299.99 (Save up to $1,299.99) This Dell gaming laptop has a spec sheet to die for. It features a 240 Hz, 1600p display with Intel's Core i9-13900HX processor. It also comes with a 140 W RTX-4070, although it is not the prettiest or most compact machine. Let's begin with the Dell G16. It's a little thick on the bottom, but the specs are impressive. You get a Core i9-13900HX processor with 16 GB DDR5 4800 memory, a 1TB SSD Gen 4 and the all-important RTX140 W TGP4070.

I'll admit it, the computer isn't very attractive. You might also want to upgrade from the single-channel memory to 32 GB Dual-channel RAM, which you can do for only $74. How about sweetening the deal? This 16-inch laptop has a 1600p, 240 Hz screen. It's a fast and vibrant display that can take advantage of the gaming power. Screen speeds of 240 Hz are esports level, so if you enjoy multiplayer shooters you will have no problem keeping up.

What is the price? Dell is currently selling it for $1,300.

The RTX-4070 gaming laptop is a full-featured RTX at a price that is comparable to RTX-4060 machines. While the latter card is fine for 1080p, RTX-4070 is better equipped to pump pixels into the high-resolution and super-fast display.

Acer Predator Helios 18

This desktop-replacing gaming behemoth offers excellent value for the features it contains. The RTX 4070 is a real beast, with a Core i7 13700HX that's a great performer, and some decent DDR5 to round off a powerful gaming beast.

What if you want a desktop-style replacement with a larger screen to make the most of all those pixels. The PC Gamer Hardware team likes their laptops to be on the small side. But I still have a soft spot when it comes to a large and powerful model. This Acer Predator Helios 18 fits the bill.

Here's the Core i7-13700HX taking care of the CPU duties. It's not quite as fast as the 13900HX found in the Dell, but it's important to remember that laptops have to keep these mega CPUs cool. For many, this can be a challenge. This modest unit is more than capable of powering through even the most CPU demanding games and should run cooler.

You get a 1600p display with 165 Hz (compared to 240 Hz) which I would argue, is still enough in the Hz department. It's a full-fat RTX 4270, so this laptop should be able to push plenty of frames with the help of DLSS 3 or Frame Generation.

It's 18 inches. This makes it more of desktop replacement than any other laptop on this list. But if you just want to move your new gaming laptop around the house, this one is perfect. This machine is a good choice if you don't plan to leave your desk. Newegg offers a large screen for a low price.

Acer Predator Triton Neo 16,

Let's begin with a warning: the chassis isn't particularly beautiful. The laptop has a 140W RTX 4070 GPU, a 16 core Meteor Lake processor (six Performance and eight Efficient), and a 16 inch 2000p LED backlit LCD display. The RTX-4070 might struggle with this resolution in demanding games. But DLSS 3 will keep frame rates smooth. 32 GB DDR5 is also a great addition.

It's the 16-inch Triton Neo, another Acer Predator. It's not the prettiest of machines, but it is much thinner and portable than the two models above. You're not skimping on specs either. The Meteor Lake Core Ultra 9 1855H processor is still an excellent gaming chip.

It's also equipped with 32 GB of DDR5. This is the amount that we recommend for modern gaming machines. While the 16 GB models will do just fine, 32GB gives you a lot more breathing room. It's not removable, however, because it is soldered to the board.

You get a full-strength RTX4070 (yes, the 140W model, crammed into a surprisingly slim chassis) and a 2000p backlit LED 165 Hz screen. Even though 2000p is a bit high for a full-strength RTX, you can lower the resolution or turn on the DLSS 3. This gaming laptop bridges the gap between portability and gaming performance. It's available at Amazon for just $1,500.
