Blizzard announces Warcraft's 30th Anniversary Direct and teases you won't miss 'a single secret'
Blizzard announced Warcraft 30th Anniversary Direct. This is a livestream that will be a "special presentation celebrating the 30 years of Warcraft, and a look at what's coming next." The stream will reportedly include everything from Warcraft Orcs and Humans, to the recent Warcraft Rumble. Hearthstone and World of Warcraft will also be featured.
Blizzard promises that "there is something for everyone", but the most noteworthy part of the announcement was the line, "you won't miss a moment -- or a single secret." Surprises! Surprises!
The stream will be followed by a special concert celebrating 20 years of Blizzard’s flagship MMO, "World of Warcraft : 20 Years of Music". This is a confusing description, but it seems to be a prerecorded, live performance filmed in Switzerland, with the 21st Century Orchestra, featuring three choirs - Tale of Fantasy, Ardito and the Madrijazz gospel. Blizzard says, "This sweeping 190-performer ensemble will take on a musical journey through time and emotions."
Watching will earn players in-game rewards such as Hearthstone, Warcraft Rumble and World of Warcraft. The Warcraft 30th Anniversary Direct is scheduled to air on November 13th at 10am PT/6pm GMT on Twitch.com, YouTube and TikTok.
The War Within is the latest expansion for World of Warcraft, and according to Tyler Colp, it's the best campaign ever. This marked the beginning of the Worldsoul Saga - a story that unfolds over three expansions. It's the first time Blizzard has planned so far in advance (at least publicly).
